Tapping record doesn’t record

Microphone access may be off. Open the Settings app → Hum Memo → turn on Microphone.

Where are my recordings stored?

Only on your device — they are never uploaded. Deleting the app deletes them too, so save important songs with the export button at the top right (for example, to the Files app).

Overdubs are out of time with wireless earphones

Bluetooth adds a large delay, which is corrected automatically after recording. If a gap remains, adjust it under Rec setup → Manual timing adjustment. Wired earphones give the most accurate timing.

I want to overdub without earphones

Choose “Open Overdub” in Rec setup. It reduces the existing tracks playing from the speaker leaking into your take. A speaker volume of about 40–70% works best.

I want to turn my humming into an instrument or MIDI

Use Instrument/MIDI to convert a recorded track into an instrument sound, or export it as a MIDI file you can edit in a music app. Humming clearly, one note at a time, improves accuracy.

How do I delete a song?

Tap the song name at the top left → Songs, then use the trash button. Deleted songs can’t be restored.
